•  Evolution of Cybercrime

  Traditional Crimes  by means of theft/robbery fraud until “Cybercrimes - traditional crimes committed in more sophisticated ways.” it started to develop on ICT  and internet technology like online bank robbery, online fraud, online stalkin , theft of information, identity theft ,introduction of viruses, phishing, pharming,email spoofing.,email hijacking and etc. 

   Two types of Cybercrimes:

  High-tech Crimes – Crimes brought about by the introduction of new and high-tech forms of targets. ICT Committed Traditional Crimes – traditional crimes that are committed thru or with the use of information and communication technology.  

  Reasons why cybercrime continue to flourish:

    1. Inherent vulnerability of computer networks/ internet.
    2. The enormous number of computer connected to the internet gives cybercriminals a wide array of target.
    3.  The internet is an effective medium for running automated systems, thus leading to automation of illegal internet activity.
    4.   The unregulated nature of the internet.
    5.  Overwhelming impact of advancements in technology.
    6 High Tech.
    7.Anonymity
     8.Global Jurisdictional Issue
  
  
  What motivates people to commit cybercrime?
    1.Curiosity
    2.  Fun.
    3.  Ego.
    4.  Personal Reasons
    (Stalking, Harassment, Vengeance, etc.).
    5.  Political Reasons.
    6.  Espionage.
    7.  Financial Gains.

 As an education student I can promote the proper use of computer in the University of Baguio by using it in a good way

realized that there are several effects of this cyber crime in all expects such as the moral degradation among the new generations, loss of revenue, wasted time, damaged reputations, and reduced productivity.

 and not to make use of it just to damage the reputation of other people .I will also be a good role model by applying on what I have learned on the seminar that I attended regarding cybercrime law and be able to share this knowledge to them. I also learned that awareness is the most considerable thing in order to overcome this cybercrime . The ICT is functioning to develop human knowledge and facilitate in daily life demands not to be misuse for self advantages so "Think before you click". 

n my opinion, the increasing number of cyber crimes cases is due to the increasing exposure to technology widely around the world. Nowadays, more people are assumed to use the technology in their daily lives, especially internets. As the internet is broadly being connected, thus some people take advantage on this upgrading technology to do crimes. Moreover, people tend to be influences by their curiosity on something news and gain profits, without investigate the sources, especially from the internet. Thus, it is much easier for criminals to use this ICT to do some crimes. I realized that there are several effects of this cyber crime in all expects such as the moral degradation among the new generations, loss of revenue, wasted time, damaged reputations, and reduced productivity. Thus, all parties should take this problem seriously. Not just think about the solution to overcome this problem but also think on the solution to prevent the factors that contribute to the cyber crimes. Do not judges to the government only, but parents also play the important roles to educate their kids to use the technologies; wisely.
